First views of Optimus Prime from new Transformers Movie
Yes, I’m totally pumped about the new Transformers movie coming out in July. For several reasons, most of which revolve around the absolute fixation I had on the toys when I was a kid. It was around 1984 and I remember seeing a commercial for the comic book on TV. I was immediately enthralled. These things were robots, but they could change into cars and jets and stuff?
G.I. Joe was alright, but couldn’t hold a candle to the Transformers and I’m sure that most guys around my age would agree with me. And it they don’t they just don’t have a clue. Transformers were and are still completely awesome.
Thanks to Michael Bay all of us complete losers finally get to see the "robots in disguise" in a live action movie. Awesome. (I’m sorry for the overuse and abuse of 80s catch phrases in this post, but you’ll have to get over it. I’m sure I’ll say "awesome" at least 5 more times. Be glad I haven’t used "rad" yet.)
And now we’ve got some promo pictures of some of the bots that will be making appearances in the film. Of course to make all us geek folks happy they had to include a picture of the Autobot leader, Optimus Prime.
I can’t wait. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, take a look and see the rad awesomeness that will be unleashed upon us in July. I’ll be in line to get my tickets in June.
