Custom Dell Laptops for all you WoW fanatics - bid at eBay
Michael Dell hinted at these little beauties at his CES keynote speech and they have officially arrived. There are only two of these machines in existence so dig deep into your pockets. Dell has taken an aggressive move towards dominating the gaming PC market after acquiring Alienware last year, so it’s of no surprise to me that they’ve taken this oppotunity to raise a little money for charity (America’s Second Harvest will get 100% of the profits) and raise a little buzz for themselves in the gamer community.
As I’m looking at eBay right now, the current bid is sitting at $4,250.00. That’s not for both of them, gang. That’s just one. With 5 days left in the bidding I can’t imagine where these things will end up. Each computer is airbrushed by artist Mike Lavalle with a re-creation of some original composition imagery for the new Burning Crusade expansion pack for WoW. And you get Michael Dell’s signature as well as Blizzard Entertainment (the company responsible for the juggernaut that is World of Warcraft) VP of gaming Rob Pardo’s signature.
Most of you are now going all bug-eyed over the airbrush work but I’m sure that maybe one or two of you are interested in what’s under the hood of these laptops. Here you go.
